Welcome, this carrd is made by @dailyengirls on Instagram, and serves informational checkpoint for anything related to Ensemble Girls!! alongside being a convenient spot to welcome newcomers into the franchise.

Ensemble Girls!! was a multimedia project originally released as a Japanese browser-based mobile card collecting game on via GREE. It was renewed as Ensemble Girls!! in 2016 with updated art, character voices, and usage of Live2D. The franchise officially shut down on November 30, 2017. However, the game's stories can still be read via the Ensemble Girls ~Memories~ app.

The game is centered around Kimisaki Private Academy, a prestigious college-prep high school for girls that boasts a wide array of clubs. The player is a second-year student newly transferred to Kimisaki as the only male student of the school. Suddenly assigned the role of the Student Council President's "Lackey", he is tasked with assisting her mission of making sure students enjoy high school life and create fun memories by solving problems and doing favors for the school's clubs.

The story follows the main Story alongside events/gacha and sub/affection stories. Most stories can be read without reading the main story beforehand. Additionally, Some of the gacha stories work like an "anthology," in which a card's story is standalone. The amount of continuity a card's story has to other cards in the same gacha series may varies.

1. How do I get into Engirls?
First, try to have your first impressions on each character, whose information can either be found on the wiki or on dailyengirls' posts. There is no order to reading stories, but I suggest starting out with any available stories of your favorites or the main story. Currently, available translations alongside ones in process are on the wiki

2. What is Engirls to Enstars?
Ensemble Stars is the spin-off of Ensemble Girls. Both games take place within the same universe, with the Engirls storyline happening during the !! era of Enstars. Additionally, several of the characters are inspired by or are connected to each other. Some of these connections have been pointed out in these 2 posts: 1 & 2

3. How do I obtain CGs/Frameless cards/Renders/Character Sprites?

4. What was the original gameplay of Engirls?
The original game was also a training game with similar gameplay to Ensemble Stars basic, specifically the ! version of the game. With many aspects such as event tiering and the gacha being nearly identical. You can find some gameplay videos here: Without Commentary & With Japanese Commentary

5. What are the chibi models such as this one?
Within Engirls, each card offered chibi outfits for certain characters similarly to Enstars. As of right now, there's no place logging all the chibi models for each individual character. However, you can find some of them posted sporadically on the Ensemble Girls Official Twitter, a simple "あんさんぶるガールズちび" google search may suffice
